Highlights from the 2005 Convention

Hershey, Pennsylvania, November 11-13, 2005
"For The Sake of His Name"

The 2005 Eastern Christian Convention focused on The Names of God. We know from reading God’s Word that there is great power in His name.  We discovered that, when talking about and celebrating the Names of God, we actually talk about and celebrate all that He is.

 Psalm 106:8 says of Israel “Nevertheless He saved them for the sake of His name, That He might make His power known.”

The 2005 ECC challenged all to consider the goodness of God in saving them for the sake of His name through Jesus Christ and to live their lives for the sake of His name.  Our lives are walking billboards for Christ.

Live well!
At home or work – remember the Name;
If you move to a new area – remember the Name;
When you reach points of frustration – remember the Name;
When you grow discouraged and lonely – remember the Name;
When you celebrate – remember the Name;
For the sake of His Name (for the sake of Christ’s Name), go!
Be willing to spend and be spent for the glory of that Name.
