Highlights from the 2006 Convention

Hershey, Pennsylvania, November 10-12, 2006

"make known the mystery"

The 2006 Eastern Christian Convention weekend was all about declaring the amazing and mysterious love and power of God.

Ephesians 6:19 says "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel. . ."

We explored "make known the mystery" of salvation for the lost; of unity among diversity; of healing for the hurting; and of direction for the confused.

Dr. David Faust (above, right) was the keynote speaker preaching on Friday evening.  David is the President of Cincinnati Christian University in Cincinnati, Ohio.  He also serves as executive editor of the The Lookout, a weekly magazine for Christian families.  Dr. Paul Clark (above, left) spoke Saturday morning. He is the Senior Minister at the Nashua Church of Christ in Nashua, New Hampshire.  Brian Jones (above, center) spoke Saturday evening.  He serves as the Senior Minister of Christ's Church of the Valley in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

A concert by "SoulReal", a women's trio comprised of Leslie McFerron, Rhonda Jo Conner and Margaret Cloud, was featured on Saturday night after the main session.  They feature a contemporary country sound.  Their travels include Seoul, South Korea as well as singing for President Bush at the White House.  They are often featured at women's conferences across the country.

The President of the 2006 convention was Mike Cassara.  Mike planned a great convention exploring the mysteries of God.  He also preached Sunday morning of the convention.

David and Candy Faust were our hosts for the Luncheon held Saturday afternoon.  They spoke on "Ministry and Marriage."
