In the age of “Youtube”, churches are pushing the boundaries of how they spread the gospel. From creative video illustrations to baptism videos and even internet campuses. More and more churches are redeeming technologies for the advancing of Christ’s kingdom. At Eastern Christian Convention 2008 we are going to celebrate the expanding role that multimedia has had on proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to a new generation. Videopalooza will be a showcase of the best videos that the churches of the eastern region have to offer. We hope everyone planning to attend ECC 2008 will search their video libraries for best work and submit them to Videopalooza.
The contest will feature the top 3 videos of each of the following categories. There is a 3 minute time limit to each video and a 2 video per category limit.
Categories:
Sermon Illustration – any video used to enhance the communication of a message.
Sermon Trailer – any video used as the introduction of a sermon
Promotional – any video used to promote a church or para-church event.
Just For Fun - any church produced video that was made just for fun.
Inspirational – any video used to inspire others to take action or consider their relationship with Christ.
A Best Of Show Award will be given to the highest scoring video from any category.
3 guest judges will evaluate the videos on the following criteria
Creativity
Uniqueness
Technical Ability
Overall Quality
Submission Deadline is Sept 12
Submissions should either be in DVD or Data DVD format.
